Our Team
Complete Bookkeeping Concepts has been making life easy for clients since 2010.
We work offsite so you can have as little, or as much, involvement that you choose.
We are a team of six – dedicated to providing the best services for your business
At CBC we are continually upskilling and working towards learning new things to better provide the highest level of service to our clients.
From the front desks of doctor’s surgeries to the owner of Complete Bookkeeping Concepts, my career has been one of following what I love to learn. I went from working in healthcare during my twenties and early thirties and pursued a Diploma in Small Business and a Diploma in Financial Services (Bookkeeping), this laid the groundwork for my future venture.
In 2010, amidst the chaos of managing a household with three active and sports mad children, the
seed for Complete Bookkeeping Concepts was planted. The vision was clear: start my own business,
set my hours, and embrace total flexibility. However, the reality of business ownership quickly
unfolded with late nights and early mornings, sometimes even meeting clients at my doorstep in
pyjamas at 8PM to collect that last-minute invoice. Despite the hectic pace, the flexibility to work
around my family’s schedule was invaluable.
As my children grew up and ventured out, I redirected my energy into growing the business. Today,
with a dedicated team of six, Complete Bookkeeping Concepts has flourished. Outside of work, my
time is joyfully spent with my grandchildren and my husband, cherishing every moment of our family
life.
I began my journey to Complete Bookkeeping Concepts in 2011, when I graduated with a Bachelor of
Business (Accounting). Starting early 2012 I served as a Management and Financial Accountant, for multiple business units within a local sugar and engineering company, before transitioning to my current role at CBC in November 2019. Joining CBC was a turning point; I felt instantly at home. I have been able to leverage my expertise effectively while continually striving for excellence in financial management, obtaining my CPA accreditation in 2021, and am further expanding my skill set and expertise by working towards a Profit First accreditation.
Beyond the world of finance, I’m also deeply passionate about health and fitness, owning a local gym
with my husband. When I’m not crunching numbers or breaking a sweat, you’ll find me with my husband cherishing every moment with our two wonderful daughters, embracing the joys life offers beyond the professional realm.
I started my journey in finance in 1997 in Victoria, where I worked my way up from a FT junior Accounts Payable assistant to a Financial Accountant (manufacturing business), whilst completing part time studies at Tafe and then at RMIT university and completed my bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2008. From there I worked in various roles as a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Reporting Manager & Business Partner. The industries included Not for Profit, FMCG Retail, Service Industry & Manufacturing.
In December 2021 our family moved to Bundaberg for a lifestyle change. After settling here, I decided to continue the work/life balance change and moved from my FT role into a PT accountant role. At first, I was commuting to a role in Childers for 6 months. Then in September of 2022 I was fortunate to find my current PT role at Complete Bookkeeping Concepts. I am now just 10mins from home and working with wonderful group of like-minded professionals, servicing a great bunch of clients and I couldn’t be happier!
After returning back to Bundaberg after completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Design (Interiors) in 2017, I began a fulfilling career in Administration. What began as a part time position at a local Counselling Practice, became a full-time opportunity to understand the inner workings of Business Administration. The role demanded a profound understanding of the practice of client confidentiality and handling sensitive information, as well as a unique view of how a business can support their clients on a personal level.
Joining the CBC Team in 2021 has been a highlight, allowing me to provide high-quality administration services to clients while continually expanding my skills into a new area. I completed my Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting in December 2023, further enhancing my capabilities in financial management and record-keeping. I am excited about the opportunities ahead to continue growing and contributing to our team’s success.
Throughout my career journey, I’ve traversed various industries, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities for growth. Starting as a receptionist at a Solicitor’s office, I quickly transitioned into the dynamic world of banking, specializing in the loans department upon relocating to Brisbane. However, a corporate restructuring led me back to my roots in Bundaberg, where I thrived as a diligent bank teller.
As the banking landscape evolved and my family grew, I transitioned seamlessly into the administration and accounts realm of a family-run business, dedicating 10 years before their well-deserved retirement. Embracing change, I continued to refine my skills in similar roles until finding my current position at Complete Bookkeeping Concepts in 2022.
Here, I have blended my administrative expertise with the intricacies of bookkeeping and accounting
and took the opportunity to expand my knowledge by completing a Certificate IV in Accounting and
Bookkeeping in December 2023, solidifying my dedication to this field. My journey underscores my
adaptability, resilience, and passion for continuous learning, shaping me into a versatile and
competent professional contributing to the team.
As a working parent, I understand the importance of balance and efficiency, both in the office and at home. My experiences have taught me the value of adaptability, attention to detail, and continuous learning. Prior to joining this incredible team in July 2022, I’ve spent the past decade honing my skills
as a clerk in the vehicle and manufacturing industries. My journey led me to Bundaberg in 2019, where I’ve embraced the opportunity to expand my expertise by pursuing my Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, a journey I embarked on in mid-2023 and am set to complete this year.
When I’m not immersed in numbers or chasing after little ones, you can find me spending weekends camping and fishing or working on chasing our dreams on my partner’s family farm. I believe in the power of lifelong learning and am passionate about undertaking DIY projects including building renovations as well as tinkering with motor vehicles and working on our journey towards sustainable and self-sufficient living. I’m excited to continue growing alongside the dynamic team at Complete Bookkeeping Concepts, leveraging my skills and experiences to contribute to our collective success.
